Committed to the human experience of business.

I'm Linda

I'm Linda McDonald, the President of McDonald Blue. I founded McDonald & Associates (rebranded as McDonald Blue) over 25 years ago to help clients plan, communicate and get things done. From the beginning, my business model was boutique-oriented, and although I've had opportunities to grow larger, I've resisted. I prefer to be actively involved with every client, rather than manage a large organization. I sincerely love working with my clients and helping them achieve their objectives. I scale my team strictly as needed.

I work closely with a small number of clients at any given time. I'm focused on delivering value, and always strive to do my best. I love clients who embrace win-win and enjoy healthy working relationships. Clients engage me for a variety of reasons—

  • They have great ideas and/or a standing initiative, but need help with planning and execution
  • They have a standing initiative, but need help with communications strategy and writing
  • They need help developing ideas and programs to solve a business objective
  • They need professional writing or editing

I love to solve problems, develop solutions, get things done, and write. These are the things I do well. I approach business with an integrative mindset. I enjoy complexity. I enjoy communications strategy and writing about scientific and technical content.

I have a B.S. degree in biochemistry from the University of Minnesota with a concentration in genetics and cell biology, and attended graduate school where I studied physiology and physics. I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Linda is dedicated, professional, team-oriented, committed to the highest standards, and often saved money for my team, treating our budget as if it was her own, yet never sacrificing quality.
